Here at Brookfield Orchards we pride ourselves in growing the best apples. David has been our head grower for over 30+ and has the knowledge and experience that allows us every year to grow the best apples in Central Ma. He is also the 4 generation working the farm and a huge part of the Orchards success!
Our first apples are picked in July and are super sour. As the season progresses more varieties become available. We grow 20+ different varieties so every visit you can try something new! Stay updated on our Social Media to know more about the growing season as it progresses.
We do all the hard work!
Growing the apples is a great accomplishment but getting our crop picked and in the store is another great task. We have the best Crew, they go out and handpick every apple in our Orchard! Once the apples are picked and brought into the store then comes the fun part....Grading them! This is another process where we handpick every apple and decide if they are #1, #2 or #3 grade. This process is deteremined by if an apple has bumps or bruises or is simply PERFECT. Then the apples are put in the appropriate bag and put out in the store room for purchase.
We grow a huge volume of these apples! We use Cortland Apples in all of our pastry and is a popular apple with our customers.
